What’s in a name , the Monkey Orchid!.

The Monkey Orchid was found only in 1978 by Botanist Luer, it’s one of a family of about 120 species all found 2000 meter above sea-level in the cloud-forest of Equador and Peru. Officially this orchid is called Dracula simia wich means ‘Litlle Dragon’ .The two long spurs of the long sepals are the typical marks what makes his name.
