What do an urban farm, a shopping center, and a creative art space have in common?

K11-urban-farm-shanghai-lead-6In Shanghai, these three concepts have been brought together to create the extremely cool K11 Mall.

Don’t let the word mall put you off – this ‘Art Mall’ seeks to break the mold of the average consumer shopping experience in China, and its urban farm is one of its most unusual and inviting aspects. Located in the middle of the mall, the farm uses soil-free cultivation methods and it provides a bit of green respite for urban visitors.
